What really impresses me about this model are it's video capabilities. The FZ47 comes with a sweet number of functions and utilities that will help even a novice to create powerful video recordings with cool effects. Furthermore, the FZ47 is one of the few camcorders I have seen that enables you to adjust aperture and even shutter speed WHILE you are recording. That's impressive and comes in really handy!
Where was I... oh yes, video! The FZ47 has a really cool feature called 'Creative Control' - here it is possible to utilize any number of visual effects and really do some interesting things with your footage. Here's a sample recording released by Panasonic showing the use of the 'Miniture Effect.
Another really cool feature of the Panasonic FZ47 is it's onboard face detection and recognision software. This is a complex algorithm designed to do just what it says - track and detect human faces! This makes for photo taking and video recording very easy. Use the built-in software to help you produce quality, professional looking video of photographs. Ideal for expert photographers and novices alike!
